Important update from Bureau of Indian Standards (Department of Consumer Affairs) that Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes and Tubes for General Services and Stainless-Steel Welded Pipes and Tubes for General Services are now established under Indian Standards in the Official Gazette.
BIS Notification for “Stainless Steel Seamless and Welded Steel Pipes and Tubes” (Mandatory BIS Certification)
OVERVIEW
New establishment of "Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes and Tubes for General Services and Stainless-Steel Welded Pipes and Tubes for General Services” article issued through a gazette notification dated 19 April 2022.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS) in India had come up with the new IS establishment notification.
The BIS under the pursuance of Sub-rule (1) of Rule (15) came up with the notification that under Indian Standards, establishments are given to “Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes and Tubes for General Services” as per IS 17875 and “Stainless Steel Welded Pipes and Tubes for General Services” as per IS 17876.
“The date of establishment of this notification is 19 April 2022 in the Official Gazette.
