OVERVIEW
This order shall come into force on 1st April, 2025.
It applies specifically to the following goods: Geosynthetics — Synthetic Polymer Rope Gabions for Coastal and Waterways Protection.

All Geosynthetics — Synthetic Polymer Rope Gabions for Coastal and Waterways Protection must comply with the Indian Standard IS 17880:2022. These products are required to bear the Standard Mark, issued under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau of Indian Standards will serve as the certifying and enforcing authority for the aforementioned goods.
