Under this order, goods or articles falling within the category of Rubber and Thermoplastic Hoses must comply with the specified standards, namely Indian Standard 15355:2018 or ISO 8789:2009 (Rubber Hoses and Hose Assemblies for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (L.P.G.) in Motor Vehicles). To affirm adherence to these standards, the products are required to bear the Standard Mark, obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards under Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

Notably, this order does not apply to goods or articles manufactured domestically for export. Small enterprises, as defined by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, are exempted for a period of nine months from the date of publication. Similarly, micro-enterprises have a grace period of twelve months from the date of publication.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is designated as the certifying and enforcing authority for the specified goods or articles, namely Rubber and Thermoplastic Hoses.

Any violation of this order is subject to penalties under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.

Stakeholders are urged to comply with these standards to ensure the quality and safety of Rubber and Thermoplastic Hoses in the market.
