BIS Updates On Standard Amendment for Processed Ferrous Scrap
OVERVIEW
The Bureau of Indian Standards (Department of Consumer Standards) has released a notification on implantation and withdrawal of Indian Standard for Ferrous Scrap.
As per this notification January 2023, the Bureau of Indian Standards notifies that the IS 2549 : 2023 Processed Ferrous Scrap — Code for Classification (Second Revision) Indian standards were established on 26th Jan 2023.
The Bureau of Indian Standards hereby notifies the public, in accordance with the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018, that the Indian standards, the details of which are listed in the second column of the schedule hereto annexed, were established on the date indicated against it in the third column. The specifics of the standards, if any, listed in the fourth column shall also remain in force until the date for their withdrawal listed next to them in the fifth column.
NOTE: This order is not applicable to the products or articles which are meant for export. Any person who violates the provisions of this order will be punished in accordance with the provisions of the BIS Act, 2016.
