BIS QCO for Vinyl Sulphone
The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has introduced the Vinyl Sulphone (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2025, which will take effect on the 13th day of May, 2026.
- Scope and Applicability:
- The Order applies to goods or articles of Vinyl Sulphone, excluding those intended for export.
- Standards and Certification:
- Goods or articles of Vinyl Sulphone must conform to Indian Standard IS 18340:2023.
- These goods must bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
- Certifying and Enforcing Authority
- The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) shall be the certifying and enforcing authority for Vinyl Sulphone goods or articles.
