BIS Quality Control Amendment Order for the Vinyl Chloride Monomer
OVERVIEW
This order mandates that goods or articles of Vinyl Chloride Monomer must adhere to the corresponding Indian Standard 17442:2020. They should bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. It's noteworthy that this order does not apply to goods or articles intended for export.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is appointed as the certifying and enforcing authority for Vinyl Chloride Monomer goods or articles.

Any individual or entity found in violation of this order will be subject to penalties under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
