Important update Regarding Extension of the last date of implementation of IS 16333 (Part 3): 2022 - Mobile Phone Handsets Part 3 Indian Language Support for Mobile Phone Handsets.

OVERVIEW
The circular regarding extension of the last date of implementation of IS 16333 (Part 3): 2022 is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
The Indian Standard for ‘Mobile Phone Handsets Part 3 Indian Language Support for Mobile Phone Handsets – Specific Requirements (First Revision)’ IS 16333 (Part 3): 2017 has been revised and published as IS 16333 (Part 3): 2022.
Considering request received from the industry and the current status of licensee implementation of IS 16333 (Part 3): 2022, Central Marks Departments-III (CMD-III) has decided to extend the date of implementation of revised IS 16333 (Part 3): 2022 by six months until 17 June 2023 for all applications and licencees. Other guidelines remain unchanged.
