BIS CERTIFICATION FOR N-BUTYL ACRYLATE

IS 14709:1999 covers n-Butyl Acrylate. This standard specifies the requirements and the sampling and testing methods for n-butyl acrylate.

The n butyl acrylate must meet the requirements specified in the standard when tested according to the method prescribed. The esterification of acrylic acid or acrylonitrile produces n-butyl acrylate.

n-Butyl acrylate is used in a variety of industries. It is used in BOPP tape adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives. It is also used in the production of point emulsions, textile binders, and auxiliaries. It's used in leather binders, construction chemicals, and paper coatings.

Packing and Marking:

Packing and Marking shall be done in accordance with IS 14709:1999. The material must be packed in appropriate containers as agreed upon by the purchaser and the supplier. Each container must be labelled with the information as specified in the standard.

The Standard Mark (ISI Mark) shall be marked on the product's container provided that the material so marked meets all specification requirements. The Manufacturer must obtain a BIS license from the Bureau of Indian Standards to use a standard mark (ISI Mark). The BIS grants a license based on a successful assessment of manufacturing infrastructure, quality control, testing capabilities, and production process.
