OVERVIEW
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a Quality Control Order for Insulated Flasks, Bottles, and Containers intended for Domestic Use. These products must follow the Indian Standards: IS 17790:2022, IS 17526:2021, IS 17569:2021, and carry the Standard Mark under a Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) license as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

Implementation Dates:The order takes effect six months from the date of notification. However, there are differing timelines for compliance based on enterprise size: nine months for Small Enterprises and twelve months for Micro Enterprises
