Important notification regarding Standard Establishment and withdrawal of Indian Standards established in February 2023 and valid for the Indian Market.
BIS Updates on withdrawal of Indian Standards
OVERVIEW
The Bureau of Indian Standards (Department of Consumer Affairs) has released a notification on implantation and withdrawal of Indian Standards.
As per this notification 17th February 2023, The Bureau of Indian Standards officially notifies the general public that the Indian standards, which are described in detail in the schedule attached hereto, were developed on the date listed against each standard in the third column. The specifications of the standards, if any, are set forth in the fourth column and shall stay in effect until the date of withdrawal set down in the fifth column adjacent thereto.
As per the notification all the standards are under the category of First, Second, Third and Forth revision and established on Feb 16, 2023 going to withdraw as per the QCO notification from March 16, 2023 mentioned in the respected column against the title of Indian Standard.
NOTE: This order is not applicable to the products or articles which are meant for export. Any person who violates the provisions of this order will be punished in accordance with the provisions of the BIS Act, 2016.
