BIS Quality Control Amendment Order for the Electrical Wires, Cables, Appliances and Protection Devices and Accessories (Safety of household and similar electrical appliances -Electric Iron)

OVERVIEW

Furthermore, it outlines obligations for manufacturers, including the application for licensing and disposal of non-conforming products. The order also grants powers to appropriate authorities to enforce compliance, including the inspection of premises and seizure of non-compliant items.

Additionally, it empowers authorities to call for information, conduct testing of samples, issue directions to manufacturers and dealers, and ensure compliance with the order. Non-compliance, including refusal to furnish information or evade provisions, is strictly prohibited and subject to penalties under relevant laws.
