Grant of All India First Licence for “Electric kettles and jugs for household and similar use- Specification (Fourth Revision)” as per IS 367:1993

BIS recently issued an All-India First Licence for "Electric kettles and jugs for household and similar use- Specification (Fourth Revision)" in accordance with IS 367:1993. BIS has also issued a circular regarding the first license for information to all concerned.

M/s MVM Industries, Himachal Pradesh, has received an all-India first license from BIS for "Electric kettles and jugs for household and similar use-Specification (Fourth Revision)" as per IS 367:1993.

IS 367:1993 covers electric kettles and jugs for household and similar applications. This standard specifies general, safety, and performance requirements for electric kettles, jugs, and other similar appliances for household and similar use with a rated capacity not exceeding 51 and connections for supplies with voltages not exceeding 250 V alternating current, single- phase, or direct current.

All Manufacturers must obtain a BIS license from the Bureau of Indian Standards to use a standard mark. The Bureau grants a license based on a successful assessment of manufacturing infrastructure, production process, quality control, and testing capabilities during a visit to its manufacturing premises.
