Grant of BIS License for Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes and Tubes

The Bureau of Indian Standards recently issued a BIS Licence for Stainless steel seamless pipes and tubes for general service as per IS 17875:2022 for M/s Tubacex Tubes and Pipes Private Limited, Gujarat. Aleph INDIA assisted M/s Tubacex Tubes and Pipes Pvt. Ltd., Gujarat, through each step of the process to obtain a BIS Licence for their product on time.
IS 17875:2022 specifies the requirements for seamless stainless-steel pipes and tubes used in general services. This standard does not cover the requirements for seamless stainless-steel pipes and tubes intended for specific applications, which are covered by separate Indian Standards.
To sell their products in the Indian market and use a standard ISI mark, all manufacturers must obtain a BIS license for seamless stainless-steel pipes from the Bureau of Indian Standards. The manufacturer must ensure that the products meet Indian standards in order to get a BIS certificate for seamless Stainless-Steel pipes and tubes. The Bureau grants a BIS license based on a successful assessment of the manufacturing infrastructure, production process, quality control, and testing capabilities.
